Your Responsibilities

As a valued client of Legacy Publisher House, you agree to:

  • Provide Accurate Information

Supply accurate, complete, and timely information, materials, and feedback necessary for us to effectively perform the services.

  • Content Rights

Affirm that any materials you provide to us (such as manuscripts, stories, ideas, images, or files) are your original work, or that you have obtained all necessary licenses, permissions, and rights to use and authorize us to use such materials for your project. You agree to indemnify and hold Legacy Publisher House harmless from any claims of copyright infringement or intellectual property violation arising from content you provide.

  • Timely Payments

Make all payments as outlined in your contract or invoice by the agreed upon due dates.

  • Cooperation

Cooperate with us throughout the project duration, including providing feedback and approvals promptly to avoid delays.

Payment Terms

  • Deposits

Most projects require an upfront deposit (typically 50% of the total project fee) before work commences. This deposit secures your project slot and covers initial work.

  • Milestone Payments

For larger or longer term projects, payments may be structured into milestone payments, payable upon the completion of specific project phases.

  • Final Payment

The final payment is due upon project completion and prior to the release of the final deliverables to you.

  • Late Payments

In the event of overdue payments, we reserve the right to suspend work on your project until the outstanding balance is cleared. A late fee may be applied to overdue invoices, as specified in your proposal or invoice.

  • Refunds

Refunds are considered on a case by case basis and depend on the amount of work completed. Generally, full refunds are not available after significant progress has been made on a project. Any refund amount will be prorated based on the services rendered up to the point of cancellation.

Intellectual Property

  • Client Ownership

Upon full and final payment for our services, you will own all intellectual property rights to the final work specifically created for you (e.g., your finished manuscript, cover design, audiobook files), unless otherwise explicitly agreed upon in writing.

  • Legacy Publisher House Portfolio Rights

We may retain the right to showcase samples or excerpts of our work (e.g., cover design, small manuscript portions) in our portfolio or marketing materials for promotional purposes, provided it does not contain sensitive or confidential information, and unless you specifically request strict confidentiality in writing beforehand.

  • Our Tools and Methods

Any tools, methodologies, templates, proprietary software, or underlying intellectual property developed or used by Legacy Publisher House to create your content remain our intellectual property.

  • Third Party Content

We ensure that any third party content (e.g., licensed stock images, fonts, music) used in your project is licensed adequately for its intended use. You are responsible for adhering to any licensing terms associated with third party content once the project is delivered.

Confidentiality

We value your trust and are committed to protecting your sensitive information. Any private information you share with us, such as your personal story, business ideas, unpublished manuscripts, or proprietary information, will be kept strictly confidential. We will not share, disclose, or use your confidential materials for any purpose other than delivering your project services, unless we have your explicit written consent or are legally required to do so.

Termination of Services

  • Client Cancellation

You may cancel your project at any time by providing written notification to us. If you cancel after work has commenced, any refund will be determined based on the amount of work completed and expenses incurred up to the point of cancellation, as outlined in the "Payment Terms" section.

  • Agency Termination

We reserve the right to terminate a contract if you violate these Terms, including but not limited to, failure to make timely payments, misrepresentation of provided materials, or misuse of our delivered work. In such cases, any unpaid fees for services rendered will remain due and payable immediately.

  • Return of Materials

Upon termination, both parties agree to promptly return or securely delete any confidential materials or proprietary information belonging to the other party, upon request.
